Jean Arnett, Business & Strategic Planning Director
Jean’s career covers over 30 years of experience building businesses in the professional spa industry. In addition to expertise in the spa industry, Jean’s career includes financial management with major national banks and real estate companies. She has held positions as a licensed Mortgage and Stock Broker. As a specialist in strategic planning, marketing and finance, she provides business consulting services to graduates of CLI.
Dr Shihab, Medical Authority, Science Director
Dr Shihab’s passion for lasers has taken him from a high profile medical career as a general surgeon to an indepth scientific researcher. Starting in laser in the early 90’s with the research and development teams in Dusseldorf Germany. Dr Shihab carried on laser research for another 10 years at the University of New York and then came to Canada to be with his family in 2003.
Dr Shihab was part of a research team that conducted extensive clinical trials on many types of lasers. His research was involved with all applications of laser including specializing in applications with colored skin. He interacted with compliance officers with the FDA and worked with laser manufacturers to obtain their approvals.
Dr Shihab pioneered a system of calculations that can be used with any energy system. Whether it be laser based, or any other technology including ultra sound, radio frequency, and many other energies Dr Shihab is an expert in the medical and laser and related technologies fields. His extensive, background and knowledge of the laser trade has made him without a doubt one of the best in the field.
Patrick von Pander, Business Coach
Like many impassioned entrepreneurs was inspired early in life. He began his career at age six working in the family’s South Okanagan fruit farming business. Graduating in 1986 from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. After graduation Patrick work with major companies including BIC, CTG, and Telus in the newly deregulated Canadian Telecom industry. For the past eight years Patrick has successfully coached business people across BC. Patrick enjoys an affiliation with a number of business ventures and holds a special passion the role of business in people’s lives.
Tatiana Sergueeva- CMA, Instructor CosMedic Courses
Tatiana graduated from the Viadivostok State medical Institute in 1985 completing a specialization in General Medicine. For fifteen years Tatiana operated her own skincare and dermatology practice in Russia . When arriving in Canada she Graduated as an esthetician in 2002. In addition Tatiana is physician certified in lasers and has been working in the field of anti-aging laser medicine for the past five years. Her specialty is laser services and advanced skincare.
Dr Shehla Ebrahim- Instructor Physician Courses
As a graduate of the University of British Columbia, she has practiced family medicine since 1992. Responding to her patients’ growing demand for cosmetic procedures, she decided to pursue a career in aesthetic medicine. Her greatest areas of interest include laser and light-based therapies for several dermatological conditions, including rosacea, acne and anti-aging, women’s health, osteoporosis, menopause and weight management. Dr Ebrahim has run a very successful medi spa practice since 2002. She is the instructor of the Botox N Fillers Course in Aesthetic Medicine. The course is 30% theory and 70% practicum.
